Trying something new with blogging today, video posting, so please bear with me if this goes horribly screwy :)
Was searching through youtube and google racking my brains for a song i'd heard on that South Park episodes "Guitar Queer-o", where stan comes to apologise to kyle while he's playing guitar hero in that bowling alley. I knew that i'd heard it somewhere before but couldn't quite place it.
Anyhow, after much ponderment i finally realised the song was "I remember you" from Skid Row.
Bit of a cliche 80's power ballad if you remember those things. Classic scene of long unkept hair and lighters swaying in the darkness (although nowadays the mobile phone has taken that honour hehe), but upon listening to it a few times, kind of began to listen to the lyrics more and more and in reflection i can probably safely make the assumption that a majority of people would be able to associate with it and while there are hundreds of songs that wail on about failed and broken relationships there's something about this that can be applied to almost any situation of remembrance.
This in turn got me thinking, if you created a picture map or patchwork quilt of all the precious memories that made up your life, what would it look like? would it be something that you would look on with fondness? or with sadness and regret? I guess humans choose themselves on how they best define themselves within the rules and regulations of society. Each person, whether they like to admit it or not, is a cumulative sum of their experiences, good or bad. Now whether they let those experiences define how they proceed from that point onward is something that i think alot of people can only answer for themselves.
Looking back on my own life, although there have been bad things, i really see that over all things have been positive, and that i am really thankful to God for those things. Guess its always better to be a "glass is half full person" among other cheesy anecdotes =)
Enough random musings for one day....
Until next time!

Holidays and New Phone!
Well the holiday have come and gone in a hurry! Much too quickly if you ask me! Although i suppose its not the length of the holidays that matter, but the company that you keep within them, and fortunately that was excellent :)
Both Christmas and New Years were spent getting to know new and interesting people much more closely than i would have otherwise done, and as a result new friendships have been made which is always welcome. Documentation of such holiday has been preserved for posterity in the form of facebook which one of my friends continually updates with our latest adventures and crazy antics around sydney hehe.
On an additional side note, i finally signed up for a new mobile phone contract which means i got the chance to replace my crippled ancient phone with a brand new Samsung G800. While it may not be the most flashiest of phones, i am quite impressed by its utility and sturdiness. I also appreciate the weight of the phone, as feather light phones always seem to be very fragile in my hands.
Until next time!
I have yet to master uploading photos to this blog, so when i do i will post some interesting photos of the awesome foursome in action!
