I have been informed that i am a lousy blogger and that i need to update more often hahaha. Life since the last update has been more or less routine, the workers can appreciate how the days can sometimes seem to melt into more or less one giant blur of stress!
I guess the most important thing that has happened has been the Church camp that nearly everyone in FOCUS attended. It was soo nice to get away for 4 days and relax with friends to hear God's word. The topic was an interesting one, being on sexuality and what the bible says on men and women and their place in the world. I found myself being personally challenged on my entire view of singleness and how the bible says to view it as a gift, in that a single person can serve God in more ways than an attached one can through not having that additional responsibility to family etc. It was definitely an eye opening revelation for me in conjunction with the notion of being content in our present status as Christians =)
I always find that the days after Church camp are a bit bleah, in that we all have to come back to lives that although aren't bad, are still stressful and chaotic. Given the hours i've been pulling at work the last three weeks to get certain tasks done on time, i decided to take some of my saved up overtime and use it to take a day off on the wednesday with the intention of going to the easter show with a few friends. Well who would've thought that plan fell through? hahaha, instead i ended up driving a friend around looking for pianos and eventually ended up on Bondi beach in the afternoon under a gorgeous Sydney sky. While i was sitting there i was personally reminded of how much God has done for us, and no matter how busy or stressful life seems, we can always count on him to provide us with the strength to get through difficult times whether it be our own courage, or the constant friendship and support of people close to us. Additionally it reminded me of how much i love living in Sydney and no matter where i may move to later in life for various reasons, (work, marriage etc), i will always consider Sydney and Australia the place i call home =)
Until next time!
